Blue Water Grill Presents an Evening of Wine & Food

with Rodney Strong Winery on Sunday July 13

 

June 17, 2003  ----  The Kirkwood restaurant is opening the doors for a spectacular wine dinner featuring the Sonoma County wines.

 

Blue Water Grill Executive Chef Ivy Magruder has planned an elegant five course menu to compliment the wines:

 

  • Monter au Beurre Slipper Lobster Tail w/ warm smoked pear chutney

Served with Rodney Strong 2001 Chalk Hill Chardonnay, Sonoma County

 

  • Swordfish Rib Chop w/ cardamom caramelized shallots served over wilted swiss chard

Served with Rodney Strong 2000 Merlot, Sonoma County

 

  • Pan Seared Muscovy Duck Breast w/ port wine sun dried cherry sauce & lavender

on aged goat cheese polenta

Served with Rodney Strong 2000 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley

 

  • Porcini Grilled Bistro Strip w/ Tillamook chive au gratin potatoes

Served with Rodney Strong 1999 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County

 

  • Napoleon Crème Brulee w/ wild Maine blueberry compote

Founded in 1959, Rodney Strong Winery was one of the first wineries in Sonoma County to vineyard-designate its wines to allow the heart of the vineyards to show through in the wines.
